TVS Motor is crafting a tailored distribution approach for both its Norton models and premium TVS offerings in India.
“We’re developing a unique retail strategy in India that will cater specifically to Norton and select premium TVS models. This will involve different retail formats, each designed to provide an exclusive and elevated experience for our customers,” said TVS Motor CEO Radhakrishnan. “Meanwhile, in Europe, Norton has already begun refining its distribution network.”
Norton’s UK production facility in Solihull is undergoing a significant transformation to prepare for the launch of its next-generation flagship motorcycles. The site is expanding and upgrading its capabilities to handle the upcoming product range. With an investment of over £200 million, the workforce at the facility has also grown by around 25% since the beginning of 2025.
TVS Motor is committed to preserving Norton’s UK headquarters as a global hub for design and manufacturing excellence, while gradually introducing select models in international markets, including India.
The launch of Norton Motorcycles represents a strategic pivot for TVS Motor as it moves into the premium motorcycle segment. By tapping into Norton’s rich legacy and strong brand recognition, TVS aims to attract a global audience of aspirational buyers, where demand for high-performance bikes is robust, and profit margins are more lucrative.
In India, TVS has strengthened its premium image with popular models like the Apache and Ntorq series, which have resonated with younger riders. Meanwhile, TVS is also making rapid strides in global expansion, targeting markets in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, while its European presence has recently expanded into countries like France and Italy.
