NVIDIA will assist members and startups in harnessing the power of AI and accelerated computing technologies. The India Deep Tech Alliance (IDTA) has unveiled a new round of member additions and substantial capital commitments, totaling more than ₹7,500 crore (over $850 million). This initiative further bolsters the push to develop India’s early-stage deep tech ecosystem, aligning with the government’s ₹1 lakh crore Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme to foster innovation and growth.
The latest additions to the Alliance include Activate AI, Chirate Ventures, InfoEdge Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Singularity Holdings VC, and YourNest Venture Capital.
Launched in September 2025 by Sriram Viswanathan, founding managing partner of Celesta Capital, at SEMICON India, the Alliance initially secured commitments of $1 billion (₹1 lakh crore). The initiative brings together leading investors and corporate partners to empower Indian startups in transformative deep tech fields like AI, robotics, space, semiconductors, and biotechnology.
NVIDIA Joins as Founding Member and Advisor to Propel India’s Deep Tech Growth
NVIDIA has been confirmed as a founding member and strategic technical advisor of the India Deep Tech Alliance (IDTA). The company will play a key role in guiding members and startups on leveraging AI and accelerated computing technologies to enhance India’s deep tech landscape under the RDI Scheme. Additionally, NVIDIA will offer technical training and knowledge-sharing through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), helping to upskill teams and drive innovation across various sectors.
Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director for NVIDIA’s South Asia region, expressed, “Through this collaboration, we aim to offer strategic guidance on AI systems, developer enablement, and responsible deployment. We also look forward to working closely with policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to foster transformative innovations.”
Sriram Viswanathan, also an executive council member of the IDTA, noted that NVIDIA’s involvement marks a significant milestone. “NVIDIA’s extensive expertise in AI systems, software, and ecosystem development will be invaluable to our network of investors and entrepreneurs,” he added.
The current members of the Alliance include prominent firms such as Accel, Blume Ventures, Celesta Capital, Gaja Capital, Ideaspring Capital, Premji Invest, Tenacity Ventures, and Venture Catalysts.
The Alliance’s goal is to promote sustainable investments, provide mentorship, and engage with policymakers, all while encouraging collaboration between investors, founders, and government bodies.

The IDTA’s mission is to offer access to capital, technical guidance, and market connections, helping Indian founders scale and build companies that can compete on a global stage.
