Accenture and Snowflake are extending their long-standing partnership with the launch of the Accenture Snowflake Business Group, a joint initiative designed to help enterprises worldwide fast-track AI adoption and data-driven transformation. As part of this effort, both companies will invest in a global Centre of Excellence to quickly implement emerging technologies and develop advanced AI and data assets.
In a joint statement, the companies said the group will help clients including Caterpillar accelerate generative AI initiatives and modernize business models by leveraging cloud, data, and AI technologies.
The initiative combines Snowflake’s enterprise-grade data and AI platforms such as Snowflake Intelligence and Snowflake Cortex AI with Accenture’s industry expertise and its Accenture AI Refinery to deliver advanced AI and data solutions.
The initiative will be supported by over 5,000 Accenture SnowPro-certified professionals, which the companies say represents the largest certified talent pool in the ecosystem.
In today’s fast-changing market, businesses face significant pressure to transform their operations and business models to remain competitive,” said Manish Sharma, Chief Strategy and Services Officer at Accenture.
The Accenture Snowflake Business Group will enable clients to harness Snowflake’s reliable, accessible, and contextualized data, combined with Accenture’s expertise in accelerating the value of advanced AI,” said Sharma.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake, said the partnership has already helped “hundreds of organizations unlock AI’s potential and uncover insights that were previously unimaginable.
He added that the group brings together Accenture’s industry-leading expertise in business reinvention with Snowflake’s enterprise-ready, user-friendly, connected, and trusted platform.
This collaboration allows enterprises to fully leverage AI and data, transforming how they use information to create next-generation AI-powered applications, enhance decision-making, and unlock their data’s full potential for AI-driven innovation.
An initial focus of the initiative is Caterpillar, which is collaborating with Accenture and Snowflake to leverage operational data to enhance manufacturing quality, deliver timely financial insights, and improve knowledge management for complex tasks.
The partnership leverages Caterpillar’s IT AI Centre of Excellence, Accenture’s industrial manufacturing expertise, and Snowflake’s advanced AI capabilities.
Caterpillar’s Chief Information Officer, Jamie Engstrom, said the collaboration, alongside the company’s IT AI Centre of Excellence, will enable faster, data-driven decisions that boost efficiency, enhance quality, and deliver greater value.
The group’s goal is to support clients in migrating to the cloud, building AI-ready data estates, and fast-tracking the development of AI solutions that drive tangible business results.
Recent Accenture research, cited by the companies, shows that 85% of C-suite leaders plan to boost AI investments this year, with 67% seeing AI primarily as a revenue growth driver rather than a cost-cutting tool.
Under the initiative, Accenture and Snowflake will jointly invest in a global Centre of Excellence, where teams from both companies will collaborate with clients to quickly implement new technologies and co-develop AI and data assets.
The business group will draw on Accenture’s industry expertise, ecosystem partnerships, and AI Refinery platform to help enterprises craft tailored data strategies and prepare for emerging agentic AI capabilities, leveraging Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.
