The long-term partnership aims to upgrade ABB’s digital infrastructure and build an integrated digital backbone, enabling the company to drive innovation and accelerate its next phase of growth.

TCS has deepened its long-standing alliance with ABB, a global pioneer in electrification and automation.

Through this collaboration, the companies will revamp ABB’s global IT infrastructure, streamline operations, and establish a stronger digital core to enhance agility, resilience, and innovation across the organisation.

Under this renewed multi-year agreement, TCS will implement ABB’s Future Hosting Model a modern, modular IT framework built to optimise and unify global systems.

The new model leverages AI-driven automation to enable proactive operations, quicker incident recovery, and consistent security monitoring through TCS’s advanced Zero Ops approach.

The renewed partnership builds on years of successful collaboration that have driven major digital advancements for ABB.

TCS will now focus on advancing ABB’s Core Platform initiative emphasising large-scale modernisation, enhanced automation and self-service, seamless cloud adoption, and improved operational resilience and flexibility.

Alec Joannou, Group CIO at ABB, stated that the expanded partnership with TCS will enhance ABB’s capacity to deliver greater value to its customers. He noted that by upgrading its hosting ecosystem, ABB aims to build a more agile, innovative, and dependable digital environment across its global operations.

The company also plans to redefine its hosting framework by adopting advanced technologies that promote continuous improvement and innovation.

The initiative is designed to support ABB’s dynamic business needs by boosting flexibility, improving service quality, and optimising operational costs.

Leveraging TCS’s AI-driven framework, the transformation will maintain uninterrupted business operations and deliver consistent, high-quality services worldwide with minimal manual involvement.

Anupam Singhal, President of Manufacturing at TCS, highlighted that the collaboration is guided by a common goal using technology to empower people, foster adaptability, and enable smarter, more responsible operations.

Through its managed services platform, TCS will provide ABB with a scalable and adaptable architecture that supports seamless business integration during mergers, acquisitions, and organisational restructuring.
