Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (JEM) has strengthened its national presence by opening five new showrooms across major Indian cities. This expansion represents a major step forward in the company’s strategy to accelerate adoption of electric commercial vehicles. The new outlets will showcase JEM’s flagship TEZ electric light commercial vehicle, now available to customers in key metropolitan regions.
The five-day inauguration campaign kicked off on November 3, 2025, marking the opening of new JEM showrooms in New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, and Pune. Each launch event witnessed the presence of local dignitaries along with members of JEM’s leadership team, spearheaded by Vikash Lohia, Deputy Managing Director of Jupiter Group.
The expansion focuses on strengthening JEM’s footprint in high-potential markets across India. In the National Capital Region, the new showrooms in Delhi and Ghaziabad are positioned to support the region’s robust logistics ecosystem and align with Delhi’s EV Policy 2.0, which aims for 95% electric vehicle adoption by 2027. The Pune and Ahmedabad outlets cater to the thriving industrial corridors of Maharashtra and Gujarat together accounting for 22.1% of India’s commercial vehicle market. In the south, the Trivandrum showroom reinforces JEM’s presence in Kerala, a state with over 235,000 registered electric vehicles and an 11.33% EV market share.
Each new showroom is equipped with trained product experts who offer personalized consultations and test drive experiences for the JEM TEZ. The 1.05-ton electric light commercial vehicle delivers a certified range of over 300 kilometers, a peak motor power of 80 kW, and a 23% gradeability making it an ideal solution for intra-city freight movement, last-mile logistics, and distribution operations.
Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, stated that the expansion reflects the company’s dedication to establishing a strong nationwide presence in the electric commercial vehicle space. He emphasized that the chosen cities were strategically selected to address varied logistical requirements and to leverage progressive policy frameworks that encourage electric mobility adoption.
Vikash Lohia highlighted that the expansion is backed by JEM’s strong manufacturing foundation, built on the parent company’s decades of expertise in railway freight wagon production. He added that each JEM TEZ vehicle is subjected to extensive quality and performance testing to ensure it meets the demanding standards of India’s commercial transport sector.
JEM has established strategic partnerships with Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, Automovill, and Tapfin to create a robust and integrated electric vehicle ecosystem. Through these collaborations, customers gain access to reliable charging infrastructure, flexible financing solutions, and efficient after-sales service, along with business support initiatives offered under the JEM Udaan program.
With the latest additions, JEM’s dealership network has grown to seven showrooms across India, located in Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Trivandrum. The company is now gearing up for its next phase of expansion, with plans to establish new outlets in Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
JEM operates as a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited, a diversified mobility solutions company engaged in the production of freight wagons, locomotives, commercial vehicles, and related components. The parent company maintains advanced manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Indore, Jabalpur, and Aurangabad, and collaborates with strategic partners across Europe to enhance its technological and production capabilities.
