In a major step toward accelerating India’s urban electric mobility revolution, BLive EZY, the country’s leading electric vehicle (EV) rental and franchise platform, has announced its expansion into Kolkata, with plans to deploy a fleet of 5,000 electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers over the next three years.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in BLive EZY’s nationwide growth strategy, aimed at transforming the last-mile delivery ecosystem through sustainable and affordable EV solutions. With this launch, Kolkata becomes the latest addition to BLive EZY’s operational network, which already includes Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa, covering over 3,000 EVs and 50+ franchise partners across India.
Empowering Entrepreneurs Through a Franchise Model
BLive EZY operates on a unique franchise-based model that enables entrepreneurs and small business owners to participate in India’s rapidly growing e-mobility sector. With an initial investment of around ₹25 lakh, franchise partners can own and operate their EV fleets, which are deployed through partnerships with leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms such as Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, and Blinkit.
Under this model, BLive EZY manages fleet deployment, maintenance, and rider operations ensuring a seamless experience for franchisees and reliable service for business clients. The approach not only creates sustainable income opportunities for local entrepreneurs but also supports India’s transition to electric transportation.
Driving Sustainable Urban Logistics in Kolkata
Kolkata, one of India’s most dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce markets, currently has low EV penetration in delivery fleets around 2%. BLive EZY’s entry aims to bridge this gap by introducing a robust network of electric vehicles designed to reduce emissions, lower operational costs, and improve delivery efficiency across the city.
The rollout will feature a mix of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers sourced through partnerships with reputed Indian EV manufacturers such as TVS, Ampere, and Kinetic Green. This focus on sustainable fleet solutions aligns with India’s national goal of achieving 30% EV adoption by 2030.
Speaking on the expansion, Samarth Kholkar, Co-Founder and CEO of BLive, said:
“Our entry into Kolkata marks a new chapter in our mission to make clean mobility accessible to everyone. With growing demand in last-mile delivery, we are committed to providing reliable EV solutions while empowering local entrepreneurs through our franchise model.”
Strengthening India’s Electric Mobility Infrastructure
Through this strategic expansion, BLive EZY is not only strengthening its market presence but also contributing to India’s green mobility and net-zero emissions goals. The company plans to further expand into other metro cities including Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi by 2026.
As e-commerce and logistics continue to grow rapidly, electric mobility solutions like those offered by BLive EZY are expected to play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and creating new employment opportunities in the clean technology sector.
